The Ivory is synthetic bristle at its best, a cross between the feel of nylon and hog bristle.

A cross between the feel of Nylon and Hog Bristle. Having a good spring and perhaps most importantly no ‘spray’. Will carry a good load of oil paint unlike Nylon, for realistic work they are perhaps as close to ideal as it gets. FILBERT:
The oval end can be used to both make sweeping strokes but also fine lines when held vertically

THANK YOU TO DAVID LEFFEL WHO SUGGESTED THIS ADDITION TO OUR RANGE AND WHO HONOURABLY CARRIED OUT TRIALS. THE EXTRA LENGTH ALLOWS A GREATER FLOW AND OF COURSE HOLDS MORE PAINT. AS THE BRUSH HEAD WEARS DOWN YOU ARE LEFT WITH A ‘TRADITIONAL’ FILBERT LENGTH.

LONG FLAT:
The longer hair results in a loose brush with little “snap”.

SHORT FLAT:
Short Flats allow a much sturdier brush with a stronger “snap” creating sharper edges and control. Ideal for blocking in and impasto.

DAGGER:
The dagger shape is for when a tighter mark is required, very controllable
