Semi-Absorbent Gesso for Watercolour Sennelier Semi-Absorbent Gesso creates a matte, porous surface similar to watercolour paper that allows for improved penetration and diffusion of colour for watercolours and gouache. It also provides a resistance to water that is greater than traditional watercolour paper.
